After Cosmetic Reconstruction

In cases where several teeth are treated simultaneously and temporary restorations are required, it is normal to experience some minor sensitivity to temperature and gum irritation. We recommend continuing your normal brushing and flossing routine along with rinsing with warm salt water. Over-the-counter ibuprofen can also be taken to minimize any inflammation. Some patients can experience slight alteration of speech for the first few days. This almost always subsides over the course of a few days as your lips and tongue are adapting to slight changes in the shape of the teeth. We always recommend patients return for a one week follow-up appointment to check for the need for any small adjustments. We want to do everything possible to make sure you are completely satisfied with the treatment outcome.
